Diploma in Advanced Studies
The D.A.S is intended for those students who have either studied at another institution or have attended the C.M.D course at L.W.A. This course builds on the previous one in the sense that it utilizes what has been learned and applies it to further study and hands on learning.
Within this course are five projects which are intended to help the students to apply this learning and understanding of the Bible. These range from gift recognition to character studies of Bible characters. Students are also expected to deliver a seminar presentation to the other students of their year. This encourages them to explore various avenues of communication apart from the “Preach.”
Lecturers are on hand to assist with these projects and all other preparation work. The aim is to bring out the best in people to reach their potential.
The course has 30 teaching weeks. This includes days that are set aside for project work. The last 10 weeks are given over to the final exams. Our syllabus is set but there are also times when we have visiting lecturers and itinerant speakers available and when this occurs the Academy will take full advantage of their availability.

Distance learning courses are designed so that when each lesson is completed and received by the Academy we send out each subsequent lesson. This means that the student can work at his or her own pace.
The Academy can also arrange for groups of students to study together with a nominated tutor. Our group study program is available on all Distance Learning Courses and comes complete with a tutor’s manual.
